Theory aims to humanize science by curating an approachable and exciting atmosphere. Our unique approach challenges researchers to effectively convey their research to a multidisciplinary audience.  

Speaker Presentations: Three brief presentations highlight local scientific research. The topics presented focus on applied and relevant issues for society and ensure a fair representation of diverse voices within science.

Poster Presentations: Poster presentations are displayed throughout the event, allowing attendees to interact with local researchers and learn about their projects. During the first hour of the event, anonymous volunteer judges will review the poster presentations and vote on the poster prize winner, who will be announced later in the evening.

Entertainment: Theory seamlessly infuses music, art, food and drink into our programing for your enjoyment. Ambient musical musings accompany our poster session and the event will conclude with a closing concert. A local popup will provide food options and the venue offers a full bar of refreshments.
